The Engineering Department within Jumbo Offshore consists out of an energetic and enthusiastic group of Draftsmen and Engineers. Together with coworkers from Project Management you will, as a team, be responsible to bring your project to a successful conclusion. As an AutoCAD Draftsman your main responsibilities will be the preparation of drawings for the Engineering department, not only on request but also on one’s own initiative. As such you are expected to bring forward proposals and initiate ideas to find a solution for a problem. These drawings include for example deck layouts, lifting plans, sea fastening plans and operational plans. Besides that the AutoCAD Draftsman is responsible for filing all drawings
THE PROFILE- MBO/ B.sc degree or equivalent (i.e. Mechanical or Civil Engineering or Naval Architecture);
- 1-4 years (applicable) experience in marine industry in a similar job;
- experienced in AutoCAD;
- able to visualize on a 2D level, 3D experience is a plus; able to deliver clear drawings according to engineering standards;
- general knowledge of the offshore industry and basic knowledge of heavy lift operations, engineering and marine operations;
- good command of English and Dutch both verbal and written;
- awareness of projected views, able to understand 3D-geometry behind a 2D projection
- execute own task independently within a team;
- result driven and accurate;
- initiative with good problem solving skills.
